I’m proud to endorse John-Michael Parker for state representative in Madison and Durham. John-Michael is committed to people over politics, and has a tireless work ethic and an unwavering belief in the future of our town and state.

John-Michael reminds me of my cousin Chris (yes, I’m dropping names…U.S. Senator Chris Murphy). When Chris first ran for the State House of Representatives, taking on a longtime incumbent, he went door to door, meeting voters on a personal level by listening to their stories, concerns, and ideas. John-Michael is knocking on thousands of doors in Madison and Durham, talking to as many voters as he possibly can, while continuing to work for an organization he helped build that serves more than 25,000 students across the country.

John-Michael brings a fresh perspective and his first concern is always the wellbeing of his friends, family, neighbors, and community. He was born and raised in this town, loves this town, and cares deeply about its future.

I feel hopeful knowing that John-Michael is stepping up to help take on the significant challenges our state is facing, and I know he will be a great partner in Hartford. This is why I’ll be voting for John-Michael Parker for state representative on Nov. 6.
