A Thoughtful, Responsive Legislator

I first met State Representative Sean Scanlon (D-98) two years ago and quickly discovered how fortunate we are to be represented by such a thoughtful, responsive legislator.

Sean stopped by while he was knocking on doors in Pine Orchard. We missed him, but read on the card he left that he was committed to preserving the shoreline for Connecticut residents to enjoy. Our neighbors had been experiencing a difficulty that denied them access to the shoreline. I sent an email to Sean, but did not really expect a response.

Much to my surprise, he got back to me the same day. Within a week, he was in our family room, listening to the concerns of 20 of our neighbors. He told us what he could do and what he could not do. He promised to do what he could to help and promised to stay in touch. And he delivered on his promises.

Access to the beach has been restored. My neighbors and I know that much of the credit goes to Sean Scanlon. That is why I am voting for Sean—again—on Nov. 6.
