A Record of Standing Up

State Representative Devin Carney (R) has worked incredibly hard for the 23rd District over the past four years and has built a record of standing up for small towns and its people.

He has worked to prevent small town taxpayers from paying additional taxes such as a statewide car tax, which would have raised the property tax rate we pay on our motor vehicles. He has pushed for municipal and educational mandate reform so that our local government is not burdened by unnecessary regulations. He is frequently in touch with residents and local leaders to listen to concerns about state government in order to take action in Hartford.

He is also a champion for seniors in the district through his support for 9-Town Transit, restoring the Medicare Savings Program, funding Meals on Wheels, reducing taxes on pensions and social security, and improving prescription drug transparency.

Life is good in Old Saybrook and the 23rd District. We need leaders who will continue to put our interests and our values first and that’s why we are voting for Devin Carney on Nov. 6.
