The Timing is Right

Going into the 2016 election, Democrats controlled the House of Representatives by a margin of 22 seats (86 Democrats to 64 Republicans). However, after the 2016 election, the House of Representatives Democratic majority decreased from 79 to 72. Why, you ask? Because Connecticut citizens said enough is enough and got fed up with the Dem’s horrible tax-and-spend policies.

So here we are in 2018. Branford is one of the most important towns in this year’s election, because we, the citizens, can be part of cleaning out the Democrat lawmakers who have driven Connecticut to the edge of bankruptcy. It is no secret Connecticut is in a fiscal mess because the Democrats have spent money like drunken soldiers for the past 10 years.

For Republicans to gain control of the House, we need to vote for Bob Imperato, who is running for state representative. The timing is right to clean up Hartford and elect individuals who have a track record of fiscal responsibility and the ability to work with both sides of the aisle.

Bob has been an active member of the Branford community for over 30 years. He served the people of Branford as an RTM Member from 2012 to 2018, where he chaired the Public Services Committee that oversees public fire and police. He currently serves on the Branford Board of Finance and the Water Pollution Control Authority. Bob’s 40 years of banking, financial, and municipal expertise, as well as budgetary and management operation knowledge, will be the qualities that distinguish his campaign.

I had the pleasure to serve on the RTM with Bob, and I can say with confidence Bob will be looking out for the citizens of Branford. I encourage your readers to vote for Bob Imperato for state representative on Nov. 6.
