The Experience to Lead

I am looking forward to casting my vote for Christine Cohen for State Senate for District 12 on Nov. 6. As a small business owner and school board member, Cohen will bring the experience needed to lead. In addition, she is fiercely dedicated to issues that are important to me as a parent of two young daughters.

Specifically, Cohen will work to ensure adequate funding for our schools, improve our state’s economy, protect women’s reproductive rights, lower health care costs, care for our beautiful natural environment, address our transportation systems, and advocate for common sense gun control. In short, Christine Cohen believes in what I believe in.

Cohen has served on her school PTA and the Guilford school board, giving her firsthand knowledge of issues facing our schools and experience in working in a bipartisan manner to find solutions. She is a Moms Demand Action Candidate of Distinction and supports banning bump stocks and ghost guns. As a resident of Guilford, a town that has recently suffered the loss of a promising young person to gun violence, Cohen recognizes the vital importance of gun control legislation. Finally, she knows that tax cuts aren’t a simple cure-all for economic issues. As the owner of a thriving small business in Madison, Cohen understands how to support local entrepreneurs in order to create economic growth in our state.

Our shoreline towns will benefit from leaders who understand the needs of our communities from personal experience. Christine Cohen has garnered that experience and will be a strong leader for us in Hartford. I hope your readers will learn more about her platform at www.christinecohen2018.com and join me in voting for her on Nov. 6.
