The Energy and Drive

As a 30-year resident of Madison, I look forward to supporting the next generation of leaders by voting for John-Michael Parker for state representative in the 101st District. If we want our sons and daughters to find a future in Madison, and in Connecticut, we must provide a chance for new leadership to step up and take responsibility for our shared future.

I’m not just voting for John-Michael because of what he represents, however, I’m voting for him because of what he’ll get done on the issues that matter to me.

We need someone in Hartford who is attentive to our economy and tax burden, and who will work to improve the situation through smart investments in transportation and education. For healthcare, we need someone who will support initiatives to find alternatives to employer-based health care plans. We need someone who can protect our quality of life, specifically by fighting for more education funding from the state. Additionally, there continues to be the need to fund pensions for teachers—especially since they do not receive social security as part of their retirement—and we need someone with a creative and open-minded attitude to help solve this complex challenge. Finally, seniors need protection through expanded tax freeze initiatives and control over rising prescription drug costs.

Voting for John-Michael will be a vote for someone who has the energy and drive to create change in Hartford. This is why I am proud to endorse him for state representative of our district.
