The Attention We Deserve

I’m Jane Scully Welch from Clinton and I’m voting for Jason Adler. You say convince me? Okay, I will. Jason is also from Clinton, he is a husband, father, friend, and neighbor, and I truly believe he belongs in Hartford representing the people of the 35th District. So many of his beliefs echo ours and I know he’ll work hard, from day one, to improve our way of life.

Jason is really interested in maintaining the pre-existing condition protection in our health care system. How important is this? How many of us know and love someone who has had a health problem in the past and wouldn’t be eligible should this clause be denied—a disaster for many. Jason knows we have to have affordable and available health insurance for all.

Jason is an educator in the Waterford School District, wearing many hats within the system, one being a guidance counselor. I was at a meet-and-greet where he spoke about this position; I asked him if he urged all his students to attend four-year colleges. He said no, two-year community colleges and trade schools like Middlesex, Lincoln Culinary School, Three Rivers, and Lincoln Tech are the right choices for many. Connecticut and our own 35th District need more plumbers, electricians, mechanics, masons, chefs, carpenters, and painters—tradesmen and -women. I was so glad to hear this answer: College isn’t for everyone, Jason said. Jason is just a good man with a good head on his shoulders I know he’ll work for those issues that are important for the state and especially essential to those of us in the 35th District. We really need someone in Hartford to give us the attention we deserve (attention that has been lacking for the last four years). Jason Alder is that someone!
