Please Support Your Community News Site's COVID Coverage

The coronavirus crisis has nearly halted the local economy — including media advertising. That means local, independent news organizations such as ours must fight for our own survival while continuing to provide critical news and information as a public service during this unprecedented situation. As Election Day is drawing nearer, I would like to encourage our citizens to re-elect Dave Yaccarino as our state representative by voting for him on Nov. 6.

In his tenure, Dave has worked diligently and tirelessly to serve our town and has always been concerned for the welfare of our citizens. He voted in favor of legislation that would extend existing veterans’ benefits offered by the state to a wider group of veterans. Dave fought against toll proposals that came before the General Assembly. He worked on legislation to draw greater resources and opportunities to our state. He obtained $31 million for the North Haven Middle School construction, secured $500,000 for the renovation of the Vanacore Field Complex, and he is an advocate for North Haven businesses, seniors, veterans, and families. He has worked on countless legislative issues—much too numerous to list.

Dave is honest and caring and he is always willing to listen to and help our citizens with concerns they may have. I, for one, am very proud of Dave. He is truly an asset to our town and state and I’m sure he will continue to be.

I will definitely be supporting Dave with my vote on Election Day, and I truly hope our citizens will be voting for him, too.
