Asks the Right Questions

Madeline Albright just published a new book. She was asked why she continues to write books at her age. She replied, “It took a while for me to get to this place. Now that I have found my voice, I am not going to shut up.”

I am so glad her voice continues to be heard and that the voices of so many other smart women are being heard throughout our country. Those of us who have met Christine Cohen in her State Senate campaign have been impressed by how effectively she advocates for the causes she believes in, like affordable health care, promoting business growth, and supporting education.

People are drawn to Christine not because she has all the answers, but because she asks the right questions. Christine listens to voters, respects their views, and—most important—follows up on them.

Lonnie Reed, who has represented the 102nd District for the last 10 years, has said that what we need in Hartford are smart legislators, open to ideas, willing to participate in a give and take with their constituents and fellow legislators. That is why I am voting for Christine Cohen as state senator on Nov. 6.
