Balance and Sensibility

I want to express my support for Noreen Kokoruda as she runs for re-election in the 101st Assembly District. Connecticut’s problems are well-chronicled and include operating deficits, needed pension reform, anemic growth, and job creation to name a just few. There is no political party that has the answer to all of these problems and shutting one party out from constructive deliberation on the issues resolves nothing.

This country faces a lack of civility that has not been seen in years. Sadly, it is only intensifying. The rancor in our political discourse is palpable. We need Noreen because she has a proven ability to reach across the aisle and find compromise. I have observed Noreen enough to know that while she may disagree on an issue, she refrains from letting that disagreement devolve into personal attacks. She understands that blind ideology is not going to win the day and those who strive for victory at all costs will not find it.

We need Noreen’s balance and sensibilities in the State House.
