Finds a Way to be There

Friendly and welcoming: State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-87) was one of the first business owners we met upon moving to North Haven nine years ago. Following our move, he helped my wife cut through some bureaucratic licensing red tape she encountered after finishing school to become a massage therapist.

At the time, the state was in the process of changing the massage therapist-licensing test. She took the new test, passed it, but got stuck in limbo because the legislature hadn’t voted to codify the new state exam certification process. Effectively, my wife was unable get her license to practice until someone in Hartford acted.

We told Dave about our problem when we met him at a local function. After hearing about our frustration, he acted immediately by getting together the necessary legislative members to remedy the situation. My wife got a call within a week and the situation was rectified.

Being involved in a lot of activities with my kids in town, I can tell you that Dave always makes himself available when any organization needs him while other officials are AWOL. Dave finds a way to be there regardless of the time or day.

These characteristics are indicative of how Dave governs in Hartford. He has an exceptional record of representing his constituents’ interests. I encourage your readers to re-elect Dave Yaccarino in November!
