I’m voting for Josh Balter on Aug. 14. I’m supporting him because I believe he shares my values.

As a veteran Navy chief, seeing how dangerous semi-automatic weapons are firsthand, Josh went to the State Capitol to lobby in support of the ban on bump stocks. Mothers Demand Action took note of his efforts and named him as a Gun Sense Candidate. Josh is also a fierce advocate for instituting a paid family and medical leave program, which we desperately need in order to help Connecticut’s families. He’s also a strong advocate for workers’ rights and workplace standards, which has rightfully earned him the endorsement from AFSCME Council 4. As a family law attorney, Josh understands the nuances of state government.

Simply put, Josh shares my core Democratic values. I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Josh Balter in the Aug. 14 primary and help us elect a progressive Democrat to the State Senate.
