Children Will Learn Valuable Lesson

I would like to express my agreement with Tom Riccio and his letter of June 14. It is wrong to mischaracterize over half the participating voters in Clinton. Our desire to bring fiscal sanity to the budget process is because we are concerned for our town. The increase in spending warranted a “no” vote. We are not clique but a substantial portion of voters in Clinton.

I am heartened that many have taken a stand for budget responsibility. Next year we can only hope that the emotional spending stops.

Voters will see that no children are harmed by a budget that does not increase more than the national inflation rate. In fact children will learn a valuable lesson in budget restraint. These voters will no longer be swayed by emotional marketing.
