Keep Downtown Looking Terrific

How wonderful to see so many Madisonites enjoying the freshly painted picnic tables at Academy Street School! Might it be possible for the Town Public Works Department to move the solar garbage bin from in front of the Old Madison Town Hall to this busy spot?

Its placement might remind folks to responsibly throw their trash in it rather than beneath the picnic tables. Or should the food trucks owners be required to have small garbage containers outside their trucks? How can we keep downtown looking terrific?

Those interested in downtown should know that on Friday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m., the Save the Heart of Madison group is sponsoring historian and Madison resident Don Rankin who will speak about “Daniel Hand—Progressive Philanthropist.” Let’s start the holiday weekend on the Deacon John Grave Garden with our blankets, lawn chairs, and beverages
