This is the Time to Come Forward

On Tuesday, June 26, the Clinton Charter Revision Commission will hold a public hearing in the Town Hall Green Room at 7 p.m. The purpose of this public hearing is to address questions pertaining to the proposed charter changes that will be voted on this coming November.

The commission will be presenting two drafts to the selectmen for their review and hopefully to the public for selection. One draft will have changes to the charter as it relates to the present form of selectman government. The second draft will deal with changing the form of town government to a town manager, town council type.

This is the time for individuals who have questions about these proposed changes to come forward and have a discussion with the commission. The commission welcomes the opportunity to explain how the town manager/town council form of government works and its benefits. Therefore I hope as many of the townspeople as possible will be there on the 26th.
