This Dignified Tribute

Once again, my husband Bob and I are writing again to thank the people of Madison.

The Madison Hose Co. No. 1 flew the Blue Star Flag in the heart of downtown Madison during the Memorial Day Parade. The Blue Star Service banner is displayed by family members of those serving in the Armed Forces. The Gold Star represents a family member who died during conflict. The Gold Star added to the Blue Star Flag is there because of the lost life of our son, Captain Andrew Michael Pedersen Keel.

We simply want to thank everyone involved in this dignified tribute, particularly Bob Russell, Bob Gerard, Nancy of the Evarts Memorial Archives, and Bettina Braisted.
