Looking its Best this Summer

The members of the Old Saybrook Garden Club extend our very grateful thanks to our local friends for supporting our club’s annual Gardeners’ Market that was held on the Town Green in mid-May. Their enthusiastic patronage allowed us to exceed our 2018 annual goal. This is so important to us because, as our only fundraiser, the Gardeners’ Market proceeds enable us to pursue all of our signature civic beautification projects to the maximum. These efforts include planting and maintaining the 23 median planters along the middle of Main Street, our Constitution Garden in front of Saybrook Country Barn, the flower beds at the Old Saybrook Fire House, and the container gardens at Acton Public Library. During the darker holiday season, we light up Main Street with the wreaths and garland on the median lamp posts.

Thanks to all of this generous support, our members can do our best to help Old Saybrook look its best this summer and all year long.
