So Beautifully Honored

On the corner of Route 79 and Green Hill Road, Madison, is a recently erected highway memorial sign. It honors Captain Andrew Pedersen Keel, a Green Beret soldier who paid the ultimate price for our freedom on March 11, 2013.

We are grateful and honored to have this sign erected. But, upon our return home from visiting Andrew’s team at Fort Bragg this Memorial Day weekend, we were surprised to see a beautiful American flag attached to the sign, along with a basket of flowers.

There is no way to know who graced Andrew’s sign with such poetry, so we are writing this letter to thank the citizen who so beautifully honored Andrew, and with that, all the fallen American soldiers.
