While the budget defeats at the polls may satisfy some Clintonites, the defeats deny the reality that we need to compete with neighboring towns for social and economic reasons.

The new Morgan school is of a quality that will gradually attract more affluent parents and tend to positively impact housing prices, and the old Morgan site is attractive to developers if we market it well. The valuable asset that is the former Unilever complex should be re-purposed, possibly for multiple occupants or startups, coordinated by an experienced and full-time professional planner.

Let’s move forward, Clinton!
