Support Was Overwhelming

I’m writing to first thank all of the supporters of the proposed fracking waste ban ordinance for showing up at the town meeting on May 8. The support was overwhelming! I also want to remind all Clinton residents that the referendum on the proposed fracking waste ban ordinance is today, Thursday, May 17 from noon until 8 p.m. at the town hall. Residents needs to bring their ID and fill out a paper ballot in favor of the ban.

It is time that Clinton join the 44 other towns and cities in Connecticut that have enacted this ordinance, including Branford, Guilford, Madison, New Haven, Hartford, Bridgeport, Middletown, Stamford, and the list goes on. By doing this, we are ensuring that no proposals to bring fracking waste to Clinton can be introduced in our town. This will help to protect our health, environment, and property values.
