Not Something We Should Want

I urge [town officials who have spoken in favor of the U-Haul application] to rethink their recommendation that this project be approved. As I drove by the location, I noticed that all the buildings in the area are only two stories tall, so the proposed building would not fit into that scenario. I also saw some of these buildings in Branford and New Haven, and they are incredibly ugly. Certainly not something we should want in Guilford.

Years ago, there was no forethought when our previous town leaders allowed the publishing company to build by our town marina. This opened the door for the current owner of that building to push through his agenda in taking over The Stone House and other structures in the area, thereby destroying the character of our town for the general use of all of its residents.

Do not allow a lack of forethought to make another huge mistake by allowing this eyesore to be built.
