Honest and Responsible Budgets

I want to thank everyone who voted “Yes” on May 9, and give thanks to our First Selectman Christine Goupil, elected officials, and Board of Education who worked tirelessly on proposing honest and responsible budgets. I also want to thank our teachers and administrators, many of whom give of their time without stipend (Nature’s Classroom and Hershey are just two recent examples) and spend money out of their own pocket on their students (one teacher alone spent $1,200 this year).

Thanks go to all for all they do for our kids and our community. I hope our community won’t let them down on the next referendum.
