A Feast for All the Senses

Not all Madison-ites can afford to go on polar bear safaris or drink tea in Vietnam, but all of us can avail ourselves of infinite experiences through the treasure trove of the library—a feast for all the senses, a most democratic institution, inclusive not exclusive, welcoming all with or without the mere free gift of a library card.

However, this would not be possible without the staff who enable this remarkable institution to function and flourish.

Therefore, I beseech the powers that be to reinstate the needed funds—if not $300,000, then the least $200,000.
