Unnecessary and Unfair

This cut [to the library’s requested budget] is unnecessary and unfair. I ask town officials to put the $200,000 back so I can use the library. I understand that this significant cut will eliminate most evening and weekend hours, which I count on. I am a 23-year old writer and the library comes in handy. Plus, I am autistic and these hours are what work best for my writing schedule.

This cut is also going to get rid of eight library staff members, which is very sad for me, because virtually everyone here knows me, like a second family. My father and I pay our taxes when called upon and I’m entitled to the library being open more often as it is now.
