In This All the Way

We organized to raise public awareness. We spoke out against high-density development in the heart of our historic village. We came together to preserve our open space. And it worked!

Our strong voices and big presence at the public hearings in February and April made a difference. The Board of Selectmen has agreed to explore building-only and open space solutions for Academy School. Next steps: keeping our town leaders on task to provide cost estimates for viable options and a public poll to determine the preferred path forward.

While we’re pleased at the progress, we know it’s not over ’til it’s over. Our grassroots Academy–Save the Heart of Madison team will remain vigilant and committed to a responsible plan for referendum. We are in this all the way to referendum.
