Bus Gives Freedom and Independence

I am very unhappy, and deeply concerned to hear the 9 Town Transit bus service will be reduced.

This will be a great hardship on us the senior citizens, and the handicapped. We need the bus for transportation to and from work. Some need the bus to be taken to doctor’s appointments, food shopping, and other important places we need to go. The bus gives us freedom and independence, so we can live our lives without being totally dependent on our families. I know I will be lost without bus service, so will a lot of other seniors, and the handicapped.

I hope Connecticut Department of Transportation Commissioner James Redeker will do all he can to prevent this cut. We need his help.
