Such a Loving Community

My name is Lisa. I recently joined North Branford Proud page on Facebook. I had a situation happen in my life and was looking for ways to find help. I went on the Facebook page and just asked, “Does anyone know of organizations or shelters or low-income housing on a emergency basis? I’m on SSD [Social Security Disability] so my funds are very limited.”

The outpouring of help from people on this page was incredible. People I don’t even know were giving me names and numbers and places to go that help people in my situation. I cried because I’ve never encountered such a loving community like this.

I just wanted to publicly say “thank you” from the bottom of my heart! I don’t feel so alone anymore.
