Brings Strong Qualifications

Josh Balter, Democratic candidate for the 34th State Senate District, was a guest in our home last week. We were very happy to introduce Josh to our neighbors as he builds support for his candidacy.

Josh Balter brings strong qualifications to the race. He’s a combat veteran who finished his college degree in the Navy. As a Navy chief, he served as a medic in Iraq. He used his G.I. benefits to finish a law degree at Quinnipiac. In his family law practice, he confronts the challenges that face Connecticut families every day.

Josh brings concrete proposals for raising revenue and fixing Connecticut’s issues. He promotes our state’s strengths and will be a Senate vote to build on our assets. His vision calls for investing in Connecticut’s people and infrastructure in ways that help all the workers of the 34th District. Balter will be a strong listener and advocate for the families of the 34th. He stands and will stand for strong progressive values: American values.

The voters of East Haven, North Haven, Wallingford, and part of Durham haven’t been well served in the last few years. We deserve a new senator who supports increasing the minimum wage, supports family leave legislation, and will protect Connecticut’s strong gun laws and listen to each of our needs.

Josh will have a primary challenge before the general election. He needs our support now. I encourage your readers to visit Josh’s pages www.facebook.com/balterforsenate or secure.anedot.com/balterforsenate/donate to learn more. Josh is having many public events; I encourage voters to come out and meet him.

Connecticut’s great campaign finance law helps level the playing field for candidates like Josh willing to take on the status quo. Contributions will help Josh qualify for state campaign funds and take Connecticut’s Senate out of gridlock.
