What a Journey

I’m back—what a journey. After six surgeries due to diabetic complications, four months in hospital, and three months in a convalescent home, I am back practicing podiatry in my Clinton office.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my loyal patients whose prayers and well wishes were much appreciated.

Also, heartfelt thanks go to my family, Mary Anne, Phil, and Kyle Douglas and the members of the Clinton Rotary Club for their love and support. Thanks go you to Tom and crew at Saldamarco’s, Laura and Damon Hall, and my neighbors Beth and Shane Holveck, Peg and Russ Maine, Beth and Warren Best. They gave so much of themselves to help us through this ordeal.

Many thanks go to the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department EMTs and Police Sergeant Jerry Dunn. They came to my aid and eased my pain. We are very fortunate to have such dedicated men and women in this town to protect us.

The expertise of the staff at Apple Rehab, Guilford, got me up and out with finesse. Drs. Nancy Gamer, DPM of Wilton and John Gaetano, DPM of Waterford for maintained my practice with professionalism and unselfish means.

Last, thanks go to my loving wife Nancy, who became a warrior, overcoming her own medical limitations and surpassing every obstacle with her strong faith and convictions. I am truly blessed.
