Proud and Humble Hearts

We thank the people of Branford with proud and humble hearts for their support during the Wreaths Across America Convoy stop. On Dec. 16, Branford became part of the Wreaths Across America family.

Our utmost respect goes to those who have served and are serving both home and abroad in the armed forces of these United States of America.

We encourage our patriotic Branford community to continue to keep our veterans close to heart each day by thanking a veteran, making a donation to a military group that supports veterans, or leaving an empty place at the table as a reminder that somewhere in the world our veterans are securing our freedoms. Remember that freedom is not at all free and an empty place at the table reminds us that the payment for freedom has been paid by the loved ones of the gold star families and those who now rest in peace in many state veterans cemeteries and Arlington National Cemetery.

The Wreaths Across America founder, Morrill Worster, told us that Branford is scheduled to be an automatic convoy stop for 2018.
