In Good Cheer

As race director of the Ivoryton Pumpkin Chase, I would like to thank the many people who contributed to making the Ivoryton Library fundraiser a fine autumn event for our community. The weather was perfect, the trees were in full fall grandeur, and our runners were all in good cheer. Our Library Board and local volunteers greeted our guests with efficiency and a wide smiles.

Of course, events like this require support and cooperation from so many groups. We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to those who stepped up to support our small but important library including our local Boy Scout troop, Essex Land Trust volunteers, and the Essex Parks & Recreation. The sponsorship of SNAP Fitness-Essex, Norm Needleman and Jacqueline Hubbard, Bell Power Systems, Clark Group, the Spa of Essex, Polito and Associates, and the Ivoryton Playhouse is so essential for our event and the library and we thank them each for their steadfast and generous financial support.

We would also like to thank Essex IGA, Big Y, Adams Supermarket, Dunkin Donuts, Ivoryton Tavern and Café, Stop & Shop, Panera Bread, Savour, and Howard’s Bread for their delicious food donations. They certainly added to the enjoyment of our runners!
