Keys Lost, Kindness Found

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we engaged in many tasks and errands. These included work in house and yard, garage cleaning, and many short trips by one or both of us. In the afternoon we made the rounds of the Guilford Green, then the Stump Dump, where we shook dry leaves out of multiple bags, and grocery shopping—and then realized our car keys were missing. Sunday and Monday we searched and called. No keys.

Tuesday Greg took more leaves to the Stump Dump, with its 20 feet high piles of leaves. Oh well, might as well ask the town employee on duty.

“Were any keys found Saturday?”

“Were they Subaru keys?”

To the observant and thoughtful person who found them and to the employee who promptly returned them, we say “Thank you!”
