A Great Town and Community

On Nov. 7, Selectman Scott Giegerich, Treasurer Bob Fish and I were elected to another term serving the community of Old Saybrook. On behalf of all three of us, I would like to express a sincere thank you to our community. We are humbled. The ballot was long, but our citizens came out on a blustery and sometimes rainy day. On Nov. 21, the oath of office will be administered and we will continue to do our very best on behalf of our community. We will, over the next two years, maintain fiscal prudence, transparency, and efficient government as we have for the last six years. With State of Connecticut finances a mess, we will strive to reduce costs while improving the quality of life for those who live, work, and play here.

We thank residents for entrusting us with running your local government. Old Saybrook is a great town and community and we will work every day to make it better.

First Selectman Carl P. Fortuna, Jr.
