Willing to Work Hard

I would like to encourage residents to vote for Dr. Violet McNerney for the Madison Board of Education. She has dedicated her life to education. As a school psychologist with a doctoral degree in education and public policy, she has both practical and scholarly knowledge of the current trends in education.

As a Madison resident whose children have all attended the Madison schools, Dr. McNerney is in a unique position of someone who can see the school system from the perspective of a parent who has been through the it with her own children, and now simply wants the best for the students going forward. As an educator myself, I like to know that some members of the school board have actually been in the trenches and are able to speak to how policies may or may not have the intended effects on teaching and learning.

Dr. McNerney is willing to work hard and her passion for education and our students will make her an excellent addition to the Board of Education.
