Vision and Leadership

Nearly 50 years ago, my family moved to Clinton. We chose it for two reasons: its wonderful location adjacent to Long Island Sound and its affordability.

Both of our children grew up here, received good educations in the Clinton school system, and went on to pursue other degrees.

We moved away briefly twice and moved back twice. Why? Because Clinton is our home. We appreciate its rich New England history, its unique harbor, its excellent library (full disclosure: I work there), and its spirited sense of community.

Unfortunately, today, Clinton’s tax rate and an apparent lack of direction may keep other young families from choosing our town as their home. That is why, on election day, I will support Christine Goupil and her fellow candidates on Row A of the ballot. With their combined skills and experience, they will bring the necessary vision and leadership to move our town successfully into the future.
