After a two-year hiatus from elected politics, I have successfully petitioned to get on the November ballot to run for a seat on Westbrook’s Board of Finance. As a former selectman and member of the Board of Finance, I was an advocate for transparency and accountability in town government. I am proud of my previous accomplishments, including: re-organizing our Health Department to meet the state’s health code, support to make the Riggio Building code complaint to ensure the safe operation of this iconic building, and insisting a rogue contractor no longer work on behalf of the town.
Professionally having been responsible for $30 million budgets and managing cross-functional teams, I know what it takes to make timely informed decisions: Get the facts, listen, and ask questions.
My wife, Melissa and I have a vested interest in Westbrook—we are raising our two daughters Zoe and Gabriella here. If your readers are seeking a candidate who will ensure fiscal responsibility, acts with integrity, and has the experience and leadership to make difficult decisions, I encourage them to vote for me on Nov. 7.
Petitioning candidate Chris Ehlert is seeking a seat on the Board of Finance.
