Shrug Off Politics

Madison is at a crossroads. We have decisions we need to make as a community that will have long-term ramifications for all of us. We know these aren’t easy decisions, but they must be made regardless of party affiliation or politics. There’s a time and place for everything, and now is the time to do away with party politics and just do what’s right. We need leaders who are willing to work for us—all of us—a leader like Emily Rosenthal, who’s running for Madison Board of Education.

I’m a father of two boys, a combat veteran, and a Madison resident and I proudly support Emily Rosenthal because she knows how to lead from the front lines and she knows there are no easy answers to the challenges in our schools. That won’t stop her from rolling up her sleeves and doing what’s best for our town and our kids—all our kids.

Emily Rosenthal understands that if young minds are to reach their full potential, they need great teachers and great schools with proven coursework strategies. When Emily talks about education, it’s clear she has the deep expertise needed for our town and our children.

Emily will stand up for us. When your readers walk into the voting booth, I encourage them to do what’s right, and not just vote down the party line. We can make a choice to do away with the old party politics and choose a candidate that I guarantee will do the same for us. It’s high time that we had a candidate who has the guts to shrug off politics and the strength to stare down the reality of tough choices. Emily Rosenthal is that candidate.

I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Emily Rosenthal for Board of Education!
