Qualified on Many Fronts

I am writing to support Dr. Violet McNerney’s candidacy to the Madison Board of Education. I have known Violet in a professional capacity for the past 17 years. Violet is qualified for this position on many fronts. Her four children have all been educated in our schools. As a trained psychologist who works in a school system, Violet possesses firsthand knowledge of the shifting needs of our children and the school system. As an insider, she can provide the Board of Education with invaluable information that will inform their decisions.

Witness to her capabilities, I have interacted with Violet in innumerable ways. In her dealings with children, she shows herself to be compassionate and kind. She consistently advocates for their needs. In a professional sense, she proves herself to be an excellent listener, eager participant, and ready collaborator.

Violet truly represents what we desire in a Board of Education member. If elected, Violet will be responsive to the needs of our community, and most important, our children. She will work toward the future of our school system. It is for these reasons that I encourage your readers to vote for her in this upcoming election.
