Proven Track Records

We are days away from one of our most important Guilford elections. Our choices are Matt Hoey for first selectman, Lou Federici and Sandy Ruoff for Board of Selectmen, and the entire Democratic slate. This election shouldn’t be about what party you belong to, it should be about selecting leaders who have proven track records and working together for what’s best for Guilford.

Now more than ever, our town needs leadership coming from many years of experience and knowledge of how sound financial decisions have had and will continue to affect our town. Matt has led the town’s finance board for 24 years. His solid leadership, along with the committed efforts of Lou Federici’s 12 years on the Board of Finance, is why we have a AAA rating, healthy fund balance, new high school, and senior tax freeze program, with Matt a part of the town leadership that initiated that freeze. All that didn’t happen by accident. It was accomplished by Matt leading the charge, working across the aisle for bipartisan collaboration.

These are serious times and we need experienced leadership that has 24 years of Guilford’s fiscal history. There’s no room for people in office who can’t work in a bipartisan manner. We need open-minded leaders listening and working with all sides. Matt and Lou are highly respected and are proof that making sound financial decisions means working together for what’s best for our town. Guilford is in excellent financial shape due to the responsible budgets Matt and Lou have worked so hard to create. As open-minded, registered Republicans, we encourage voters to join us in voting for Matt Hoey, Lou Federici, and the Democratic slate.
