Have Achieved So Much

I am writing this letter for two reasons: The first is to endorse David LaMay for the Board of Finance. David has served as chairman for the last six years. His even-keeled demeanor has been in contrast to the partisan bickering at the state level. David LaMay is a listener, and encourages public discussion. Mr. LaMay is a certified financial planner when he is not volunteering, and that financial experience has brought great benefit to the Board of Finance and the town throughout his chairmanship. Mr. LaMay’s family has deep roots in our town with David continuing a long history of civic involvement by the LaMay family. David is also a volunteer firefighter in Old Saybrook. David LaMay deserves your readers’ votes.

On Nov. 7, I will also be voting for Carl Fortuna for first selectman, Scott Giegerich for selectman, and Bob Fish for treasurer. The reality is our town is not only better off today than it has ever been, but we are better prepared than any town for the financial chaos at the state level. That is due to Carl, Scott, and Bob’s leadership on important financial issues, but there is so much more. Our town has so much to be proud of: Nobody enjoys paying taxes, but compare Old Saybrook’s value to any other town. We have achieved so much under this administration and I firmly believe that the town’s best days are in front of us due to the town’s excellent leadership. In times like these, Old Saybrook is fortunate to have both Dave LaMay and Carl Fortuna.

On Nov. 7, I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Dave LaMay, Carl Fortuna, Scott Giegerich, Bob Fish, and the entire Republican team.
