Experience, Intelligence, and Energy

I am writing in support of the great Republican team running for the four-year term for the Old Saybrook Board of Finance. David LaMay, Breck Lindley, and Paul Carver all have the experience, intelligence, and energy to be staunch watchdogs over the town’s finances.

David LaMay is a three-term board member with two terms as Board of Finance chairman. He has extensive experience in the financial industry as a financial adviser and financial planner. His steady hand at the helm of the board has been key to keeping Old Saybrook in a strong financial position. In addition, he serves as a volunteer firefighter with the Old Saybrook Fire Department and serves as its assistant treasurer.

Breck Lindley’s experience and knowledge in investment banking and equity research has been important in her successful first term on the board. Her town experience as a PTO mom and a youth sports coach also gives her the necessary sense of community.

Paul Carver has strong experience in municipal government having served five terms on the New Britain City Council. When he and his late wife Lisa moved to Old Saybrook, Paul immediately got involved serving the town on the Inland Wetlands Commission. He is keenly aware of how town budgets work and will be a great asset on the board.

They are running to keep the town fiscally responsible, not because of any partisan agenda or to pad their egos. I encourage your readers to do the right thing for Old Saybrook taxpayers and vote for these three on Row B on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
