I encourage your readers to help me to support Sandra Kraus as our next Branford tax collector. I have known Sandy for almost 20 years and know that she is exceptionally qualified for this position. She worked at SNET starting in the Marketing Department and retiring as director of Corporate Telecommunications, where she was responsible for more than 100 people and a $15-million-plus budget. She has an MBA with a concentration in finance and has extensive experience in private industry.

However, most important, I know that Sandy is a quality person. She has volunteered her time for the Branford Garden Club, Stingrays Swimming, the Branford Festival, and many other civic organizations. She understands that life can take a turn in an instant and that circumstances can change. Sandy works to help everyone she knows who is facing a difficult period in their life. Having been diagnosed with cancer at a young age, Sandy understands the support people need to help them through times of uncertainty. She will bring her education, experience, compassion, and dedication to the residents of the Town of Branford.
