Experience, Care, and Understanding

As new residents to the town of Old Saybrook, we appreciate the low taxes and the strong quality of life here. We moved from Plainfield where the mill rate is much higher and the taxes are more burdensome.

We believe, in the current Connecticut economy, the best course of action is to re-elect First Selectman Carl Fortuna and elect/re-elect the fantastic Republican Board of Finance candidates—Paul Carver, David LaMay, Breck Lindley, and Carol Rsaza. All of these candidates have proven that they want to keep taxes low, keep the quality of life high, and work hard to ensure new residents like us want to move to Old Saybrook.

We cannot afford to elect people who don’t have the experience, care, or understanding of town budgets in these difficult fiscal times. Things are good in Old Saybrook and people here and in other towns know that; let’s keep it that way by voting for Row B on Nov. 7.
