Experience and Proven Leadership

I’m writing to express my enthusiastic support of Vincent Baglio for a position on Guilford’s Board of Education. Vincent has always had a passion for education and began his professional career as a high school teacher. After receiving his MBA in industrial psychology, he dedicated his career helping managers and executives recognize leadership potential through research-based learning opportunities and executive coaching. As a mom of three young children and former school teacher and administrator, I am impressed with Vincent’s priority of providing continuous learning opportunities for teachers to ensure sustained engagement in the classroom throughout their careers. The foundation of a strong and successful education system are the teachers who inspire students to be inquisitive and strive to make learning interesting, challenging, and meaningful. To achieve this, teachers need time to collaborate, professional development opportunities to keep current with changing trends in education, and access to resources to implement new initiatives. I am proud to endorse Vincent Baglio knowing that he holds this belief in supporting teachers to reach their full potential by providing them with the necessary opportunities and resources.

As a grandfather of two elementary-aged children in town, Vincent has a personal vested interest in Guilford’s education system. Vincent has spent countless hours serving the communities in which he has lived through his civic involvement as a Branford Representative Town Meeting (RTM) representative also serving on the RTM Education Committee, and chairman of Citizens Against Substance Abuse, and member of the Board of Education in Newtown. We are fortunate to now have Vincent Baglio as a member of the Guilford community. Given his experience and proven leadership, Guilford stands to benefit greatly with him on the Board of Education. With utmost confidence, I support Vincent Baglio in his candidacy for the Guilford Board of Education.
