As a mom with two kids currently enrolled in the Madison Public School System, I am proud to support Jessica Bowler’s re-election for the Board of Education. Jessica and I met many years back when she was overseeing the community outreach programs for the Madison Newcomers Club. Following Newcomers, she joined Neighbor to Neighbor where she had an impact on their annual fundraising event. She then moved on to Madison Little League to help them organize their youngest players.

Jessica’s interest in the education system, especially in how our educators are preparing our students for the 21st century, led her to the Board of Education. In her term, Jessica has supported professional development of our staff, reviewed and approved new curriculum for our 21st-century students, and worked tirelessly on a plan to consolidate and modernize our schools.

I care deeply about Madison and its educational system. I know how hard Jessica has worked for our schools and children over the last four years and I want her to continue this work over the next four years. For these reasons, I support Jessica Bowler’s candidacy for Madison’s Board of Education this Nov. 7.
