I am writing in support of Christine Goupil for Clinton first selectman. Why? I can sum it up in one word: integrity. Dictionary definitions include phrases such as “the concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and outcomes.” Synonyms include honesty, decency, fairness, truthfulness, and trustworthiness. You will find all of these things reflected in Christine’s character

It doesn’t stop there, however—Christine also has the knowledge and experience necessary to lead our town toward new development and economic growth. She is an experienced and resourceful project manager who has brought her skills to bear on revitalization projects around the world. Closer to home, Christine has served on the Clinton Planning & Zoning Commission, where she has consistently demonstrated her comprehensive knowledge of the issues before her and has participated in discussions with professionalism and respect.

On multiple occasions, I have witnessed Christine remain calm and steadfast, even during meetings that became heated. It takes great strength to hold onto principles of decency and fairness when the going gets rough, but Christine meets these challenges with grace and, as I have said, integrity.

I encourage your readers to join me, to be a voter and cast their vote for the candidate who will bring integrity back to Town Hall. That candidate is Christine Goupil.
