A Breath of Fresh Air

Clinton has been my family’s home for the past 18 years. I have four children in the schools; at one point I had a student in every school in town. Yes, I am a busy mother, but I am making time to write this important letter, supporting Christine Goupil for first selectman.

I like Christine’s demeanor; she is a breath of fresh air. She supports the schools and has worked hard for Clinton’s economic growth. I think she is honest about bringing everyone to the table, and possesses the skill set to move Clinton forward.

I believe the definition of a vibrant community starts with schools. Good schools attract families. When families are attracted to a town, property values go up. When property values go up, the mill rate can decrease and when the mill rate goes down then businesses will come to town and it will be a town with plenty of families supporting those businesses. I will never be a fan of cutting school budgets to make Clinton prosperous.

As a parent, I fight passionately for school budgets to pass because I believe volunteers work hard to put forth a good budget.

I strongly believe Christine Goupil really does need to be elected Clinton’s first selectman and I’ll do whatever I can to make sure she wins on Nov. 7! I hope other mothers will join me.
