Will Balance the Priorities

As my tenure as tax collector draws to a close, I would like to thank the voters of Branford for the privilege of serving the town for the past 12 years. It was a rewarding experience that afforded me the opportunity to interact with the many diverse residents who make Branford the wonderful town that it is. Although I am looking forward to some leisure time, I will miss the daily contact with both co-workers and taxpayers that I have enjoyed for so long.

I would also like to endorse Roberta Gill-Brooks for tax collector in the November election. Roberta is an intelligent, friendly, focused, and, most important, caring individual who I am sure will balance the priority of collecting taxes with the need to understand and work with those in difficult situations. She is a person who is goal-oriented and will immerse herself into any project.

I encourage your readers to support Roberta Brooks on Nov. 7.
