Wants to Make a Difference

I have known Jean Fitzgerald since she moved to Madison many years ago. Shortly after Jean and her husband Tim moved to Madison, her parents Ruthanne and Frank Thompson followed. Jean and Tim have four children; three graduated from Daniel Hand High School and one is currently at Polson. She believes strongly in family and hosts many large, family gatherings at her home and the Surf Club.

She has maintained friendships from grade school and continues to make friends along the way. Her family has been active in scouts, baseball, soccer, golf and at Saint Margaret’s Church. She is a professor at four universities. Jean has been a member and chairperson of the Board of Education and chairman of Capital Improvement Program Committee.

Jean is now running for Board of Finance, a position for which she is highly qualified. Jean is smart, loyal, responsible, and extremely competent. She is a person that is not satisfied to just exist; she truly wants to make a difference. I am honored to call her my friend and I fully support her decision to run for Board of Finance.
