Understands the Issues

Madison is fortunate to have someone of Jean Fitzgerald’s caliber running for the Board of Finance (BOF). I saw firsthand how well she served on the Board of Education for eight years, chairing it for four years. She showed wisdom in her policy discussions, knowledge of the intricacies of government in her actions, and concern for financial integrity in her decisions. These are exactly the strengths we need on the BOF.

As a 14-year resident in town, Jean knows Madison well. She understands the issues that are of concern to all segments of our population, and she has shown that she can balance these issues to the benefit of all. Importantly for serving on the BOF, she understands the financial implications of all of these issues and their long term fiscal impacts.
